It takes a lot to be the queen bee of fashion: attitude, raw talent, and all the venti-sized lattes in the world. But Rachel Zoe masters at her job with a consistent sense of style that's often imitated but never duplicated.
Like all other reality TV shows, the drama could go, like the catty fights between assistants Taylor and Brad - so not necessary! But I do love the fashion and Rachel Zoe's immaculate sense of style: layers of jewelry overwhelming a simple silk dress, big snow white fur top over leggings, parading in over-the-top stilettos...Rachel Zoe is bold and that's why she's the queen bee of fashion and a new diva with her show, The Rachel Zoe Project, on the Bravo Network.

TENPACHI GETS A TEN!!!!
A lot of my friends already go there, so I better spread the word: TENPACHI gave me one of my absolute BEST haircuts!!!! After 2 years of searching furiously for good hair cut, I finally found TENPACHI through friends, who raved about their own great cuts as well as TENPACHI's attractive price.
My stylist, Erica, was extremely patient listening to my requests. But she also gave her own suggestions driven from experience. And the result turned out great.
If you are looking for a good haircut, definitely give TENPACHI a try, at:

SEP HUNK ALERT: WILL DEMPS JR.
I skipped August's Hunk Alert - how dare I?!?! But September's hunk is just that hunky!
Hello Will Demps! We love your mocha skin, your sexy slanted eyes and your manly jawline. Standing tall at 6 foot with packs of muscle from top to bottom, your body isn't so bad either. You are the living, breathing proof that when "East Meets West", very good things happen. (Will is half African American and half Korean.)
You make girlie girls who hasn't the slightest interest in football wanna endure NFL games. But truthfully, we don't care about the tackles and the fumbles, we just want to see you do your sports thing and drool. Because again, you are just that hunky!

TOP WITH TAUPE
If you don't know what color "Taupe" is, it's gray plus brown. In other words, "Taupe" is my two favorite earth tones in one.
For eye shadows I have experimented with many colors. From snow white to forest green, a blush of pink to a stroke of gold, you name it I tried it. As of late, I've been searching for a perfect shade for day - something subtle yet pretty. And the color "Taupe" satisfied both requests.
For first timers, you might not want to spend too much for something to play with. Cover Girl offers a single shadow in the color of "Tapestry Taupe". This shadow contains just a hint of shimmer for brightening, but still the color is very earthy and easy on the eye. For just over $3.00 at any drug store, it's an attractive price too.
If you are looking for colors that are more professional and fitting for day time, perhaps a pretty taupe is just what you need.

GOOD SUSHI = GOOD HEALTH = GENKI SUSHI
The Japanese word "Genki" means "Good Health". And I think good health comes from good food, especially if the food is cost friendly and tummy satisfying.
Genki Sushi is a chain that just opened in Seattle's lower Queen Anne. It's on the corner of 5th and Mercer, right next to Office Depot and a floor above QFC. With a rotating belt that's never empty and friendly chefs always attending to your needs, Genki Sushi is second to none in both food and price.

WE LOVE STUDS!!!!
From old fashioned hunks like George Clooney to buff newcomer Channing Tatum, we love our studs! But in fall of 2009, we will see studs in a different light. I'm talking about sexy, shiny bling on clothes, shoes, bags and more. This season, all things we girlie girls love are being studded into something edgy, rock n' roll and a style that will catch everyone's eye, including those hunky studs we love!

BAND GEEK
Well, they are not geeky, but they are adorable. And this fall, they are in! Headbands are now the most wanted accessories. But if you are picturing the thick and bright headbands of the 80's, you are so wrong! (And you are living in the wrong era.) Headbands now are cute and trendy. Some of them even define your outfit.
They are sold about everywhere. I know! Accessibility is always a plus. They are cheap too. You can pick one up for around $5 at drug stores, discount shopping marts (like Target), or at trendy shops such as Urban Outfitters.
Band geek? Hardly! More like...Glam Goddess!

WELCOME BACK FLANNEL
Flannels are back! Or have they ever left?
Tuesday morning, a typical gray day in Seattle, I stepped off the bus just in time to see this tall Asian girl in the most fabulous fashion: A long, flowing blue and white flannel shirt over skinny jeans. To make this outfit even more fashionable, she wore a pair gold gladiator flats and a hobo-style messenger bag in cream.
She looked so good I could not stop watching her cross the street!!!!
Then I hit the stores downtown Seattle during lunch and guess what? Flannels were EVERYWHERE - American Eagle, H&M, Macy's...you name it!
No, I don't think flannels ever went away. But this season they are enhanced with better style both sexy and street.
If you believe the grunge era in the 90's was Seattle's heyday for flannel fashion, think again! The best of flannels have yet to hit the streets of Emerald City!
