If you don't know what color "Taupe" is, it's gray plus brown. In other words, "Taupe" is my two favorite earth tones in one.For eye shadows I have experimented with many colors. From snow white to forest green, a blush of pink to a stroke of gold, you name it I tried it. As of late, I've been searching for a perfect shade for day - something subtle yet pretty. And the color "Taupe" satisfied both requests.
For first timers, you might not want to spend too much for something to play with. Cover Girl offers a single shadow in the color of "Tapestry Taupe". This shadow contains just a hint of shimmer for brightening, but still the color is very earthy and easy on the eye. For just over $3.00 at any drug store, it's an attractive price too.
If you are looking for colors that are more professional and fitting for day time, perhaps a pretty taupe is just what you need.
