TOP WITH TAUPE

If you don't know what color "Taupe" is, it's gray plus brown. In other words, "Taupe" is my two favorite earth tones in one.

For eye shadows I have experimented with many colors. From snow white to forest green, a blush of pink to a stroke of gold, you name it I tried it. As of late, I've been searching for a perfect shade for day - something subtle yet pretty. And the color "Taupe" satisfied both requests.

For first timers, you might not want to spend too much for something to play with. Cover Girl offers a single shadow in the color of "Tapestry Taupe". This shadow contains just a hint of shimmer for brightening, but still the color is very earthy and easy on the eye. For just over $3.00 at any drug store, it's an attractive price too.

If you are looking for colors that are more professional and fitting for day time, perhaps a pretty taupe is just what you need.

PORES? GONE!!!!

I know it's hard to believe, but I do like being an early thirty something better than being a twenty anything. Entering my thirties has been emotionally and mentally enlightening, because I've been around the block just long enough to get rid of quite a bit: Those skinny jeans I have kept out of vain hope? Gone! If I didn't fit in them on my twenty first birthday, I'll NEVER fit in them. And those self-absorbed, toxic friends? So gone! It's always been all about them, NEVER about me.

In my thirties, I am cleansed, refreshed and relieved.

My skin, however, does not do well as a thirty something. One problem I have noticed are enlarged pores, especially around and on top of my nose. Thank God for Marie Claire, in which I read about Clinique's pore minimizer perfector. It's a small tube of cream that you dab onto your face to make your skin smooth, matte and most of all, poreless.

As far as skin products are concerned, I've also been around the block with them, and I've tossed quite a few. But Clinique's pore minimizer perfector is one that I'll be keeping. And those pores? Gone! Gone! Gone!

M.A.C ATTACK

Liquids, powders, and even blocks, when it comes to foundation I have tried almost everything. I have paid a hefty price for the most exquisite lines, and I have dug through the Wal-Mart sales basket for cheapies. But only recently have I found my perfect match: STUDIO SCULPT SPF 15 FOUNDATION from M.A.C.

With a yellow undertone that works perfectly on Asian skin and a smooth finish to cover flaws and minimize pores, this foundation glides on like silk while providing excellent coverage.

There has been some hardships through finding the perfect foundation. But in the end, after meeting my match at M.A.C, it's worth the pain of all my trial and error experiences.

Like any other beauty gems, a good foundation is hard to find. And this one I am keeping around for a long time!

MY BUXOM BUD

In a world of skinny, my lips can get as F.A.T as they like. To help me achieve voluptuous lips, I apply my new love, Lips Buxom from Bare Escentuals. This high gloss, low maintenance make-up help my lips pucker with a dose of vitamin E for moisture and shine. Plus, the colors are subtle and flattering, which looks fitting on any skin.

HURRY IT'S THE BEAUTY RUSH!!!!

Baby pink lip balm, glittery liquid liners and powder shadows in blue, Victoria's Secret produces the cutest little gets. I love their Beauty Rush line for both product and price. Also, the colors are out of the spectrum! Last time I bagged blue and purple mascara. Incredible huh? For a deal of two for $12 or five for $20, what a cheapie find!
